This limited edition PNC was released to mark 98 years since cessation of hostilities on the Western Front, at 11am on 11 November 1918, signalling an end to World war 1. On hearing news of the Allies' armistice with Germany, thousands of people took to the streets throughout Australia in celebration. Originally called Armistice Day,

Remembrance Day is now commemorated in Australia and other Commonwealth nations every year at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. The red poppy, which bloomed on the Flanders battlefields of World War I, is worn to remember the fallen, and a minute's silence is observed in honour of those who died or suffered not only during World War I, but in all wars and armed conflicts.
